Privacy Policy
Last Updated: October 11, 2026
Summary: Local-First by Design
VertoXR is designed with privacy at its core. Your virtual desktop contents, screen captures, and XR sensor streams are processed entirely locally on your device. We never record, stream, or store your personal files or visual data on external servers.
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how VertoXR (“we”, “our”, or “us”) handles data when you use the VertoXR desktop application, mobile companion software, and website (vertoxr.com).
By installing, downloading, or using VertoXR, you acknowledge the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these practices, please discontinue use of our software and services.
2. What We Do NOT Collect (Local-Only Processing)
Unlike cloud-based streaming services, VertoXR executes spatial computing and display rendering locally:
- Screen & Desktop Contents: What you see, write, or display across your virtual monitors is never transmitted to us or third parties.
- Camera Feeds & Passthrough: Any camera, optical tracking, or passthrough data used for positioning remains strictly within local memory.
- Sensor Data: Real-time 3DoF/6DoF IMU and head-pose information from your connected AR glasses are processed on your host machine only.
- Personal Keystrokes & Inputs: We do not monitor, log, or record user inputs, keystrokes, or peripheral activity.
3. Information We Collect and Process
To provide software updates, diagnose technical problems, and optimize compatibility across different AR hardware, we may collect the following limited categories of information:
We record the hardware brand/model of your connected XR glasses (e.g., Viture, XREAL, Rokid) in aggregate telemetry to track hardware distribution and focus ongoing driver development.
Software version, operating system details (e.g., macOS, Windows, Linux, Android), crash logs, and non-identifiable performance indicators to fix bugs and improve stability.
Website Inquiries & Communications: If you contact us via email, Discord, or GitHub, we receive your name, handle, email address, and the contents of your message solely to assist you.
4. Payment & Billing Information
If you purchase a license or subscription for VertoXR:
- App Store Purchases: Mobile app and marketplace purchases are processed directly by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not collect or store your payment card numbers.
- Direct / Web Purchases: License purchases on desktop or through our website are handled by secure third-party payment processors. Your billing details are securely encrypted and processed according to the processor’s privacy standards.
5. Third-Party Services and Analytics
We may use trusted service providers for web hosting (e.g., Cloudflare), error monitoring, and payment processing. These service providers have access only to the minimal information required to perform their functions and are bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations.
6. Data Retention and Security
We apply reasonable technical, organizational, and administrative safeguards to protect any collected information. Aggregated analytics and crash diagnostics are retained only for as long as necessary to debug software issues and analyze hardware support trends.
7. Your Rights and Choices (GDPR & CCPA)
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights under applicable privacy legislation (such as GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), including:
- The right to know and access any personal data we hold about you.
- The right to request correction or deletion of your data.
- The right to object to or restrict processing of your data.
- The right to opt-out of non-essential diagnostic telemetry where supported.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us directly at rohitsangwan647@gmail.com.
8. Children’s Privacy
VertoXR is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or under the applicable age of consent in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our software or legal requirements. When revisions occur, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document.
